USA Network Synopsis
Birkoff's cocky assistant, Greg Hillinger, makes a number of errors
that lead to a failure of a mission important to Oversight. Upset,
George forces Operations to hand over control of most of Section One's
missions. This in turn angers Operations, who takes fury out on Madeline.
Madeline responds by putting Hillinger into abeyance, then meeting with
George in secret to negotiate a plan to depose Operations and take control
of Section One herself. However, when Operations sets a trap designed
to eliminate George, the balance of power shifts once again, with surprising
consequences.
My Synopsis
"Tired of Operations' verbal and physical abuse, Madeline decides
to help George overthrow him...or does she?" This episode was fabulous,
probably my favorite of the season. Not only was the written dialogue
fantastic, but the acting was really superb. The characters were acting,
giving the real actors double duty, but Gene and Alberta pulled it off
beautifully (as always!). And they kissed (finally!). And it fixed
everything prior to this episode that made the TRs furious. :) Ops had
so many great snarky lines that I had trouble choosing just one, so I'll
put the rest of them here: "We're not on the outside." "I don't care
what's fair, and I don't care what you think!" "And do something about
that perfume; it smells cheap." "You obey me and will continue to do so
until I'm done with you." (All directed at Madeline, mind you. It was
great!)
Other Intel
*One of my favorite scenes, where Madeline breaks the flower, was
not originally in the script.
Favorite Operations Quote
"If you paid as much attention to this as you do to your idiotic plants,
this wouldn't be happening."
