USA Network Synopsis
When a Glass Curtain terrorist escapes from the White Room, he manages
to secure and transmit out the Section's directory before he is captured.
Although the information was encoded, there was one piece that wasn't-the
location of Section One. Immediately, Operations gives the order to self-destruct,
and everyone in Section moves to a makeshift location from where they can
launch a counterstrike. Now, the race is on to eliminate Glass Curtain
once and for all before the rest of the directory is decoded and all
Section operatives are killed.
My Synopsis
"The baddies from 'Simone' return in search of candy and Section One." Argh,
USA's synopses are terrible! The one time that Nikita actually plays a
serious role in stopping the crisis, they don't even mention her! Okay,
slap me, but I liked this episode. But whoever wrote Madeline's parts made
her a complete moron! Okay, first of all, Madeline would have whipped the
SOTW before he even had a chance to lunge at her. However, I can look past
the fact that she was nearly choked to death because it made for a cute
Operations-goes-wild scene where he went running through the halls to make
sure she was all right. Then of course, he's concerned with getting her
out of Section before Glass Curtain has a chance to find her. Aww. She, too,
is concerned for her beloved, telling him he's not expendable. (And in
retrospect, this all makes sense because, although he was supposed to be
blackmailing her at this point, he's obviously concerned for her. Perhaps
this was one of George's tipoffs.) I loved the scene where Section explodes.
The score composed by Sean Callery for these scenes is completely
wonderful. This is probably the only episode where I like Ops's nasty
hair color because it makes him look like such a badass, and that's exactly
what he was. :) And Section was in Paris. Oddly enough, I think that they end
up returning to Paris because in TET, Madeline meets George on the Champs-Elysées
(Paris's most famous street, with the Arc de Triomphe at one end),
yet she has to make the meetings short. If she got on a jumbo jet and flew
to Paris from some other city, regardless of where it was, that would be
such a hassle! So they must still be in Paris. Oh, and one last thing
that someone mentioned: why the heck isn't Michael wondering about Simone?
If Sparks can survive being held at gunpoint during an explosion, why didn't she?
Other Intel
*In the script, Madeline got to fight back. Poo on the editors!
*Siobhan's desire for more Peppermint Patties was an inside joke to the
fans because it's a known fact that the writers are addicted to Peppermint
Patties. (Not that well known; I certainly didn't know it!)
