Not Was

USA Network Synopsis
After an assault on a club, Michael is captured and interrogated by Red Cell tactician Orlando Perez. On a second mission to secure Perez, Nikita frees Michael, but he cannot remember who he is or why he is in Section. Nikita covers for Michael, knowing that he would be cancelled if Operations found out. However, Nikita's job is made more difficult by the fact that Michael, not acting himself, is being emotionally honest with her.

My Synopsis
"Madeline successfully makes Operations green with jealousy!" This is sort of the flip side to "Hand to Hand." As I wrote for that episode, Russell (Madeline's boytoy) seems like a pawn in the who-gives-in-first war between Ops and Maddy. I'm not sure really what to make of it--I don't think her interest in him was genuine; he was too grungy, and Madeline goes for the more suave and debonair--but I think that's what the writers wanted you to think. Of course, the fans know Madeline better than the writers. *sigh* This episode was amusing though. Alberta got to giggle, adding to the growing list of things-Madeline-would-never-do-under-ordinary- circumstances. And it was so funny! Operations was just reeling, and when he couldn't call up the file on Russell (from having too much impatience), I thought he was going to self-destruct! It was very funny; Gene's acting was so great. The Michael/Nikita plot was cute, but there is nothing noteworthy there, except Michael hit the nail on the head when he said, "I must be a real jerk!" DUH! :)
