USA Network Synopsis
When Michael is sent to assassinate an arms supplier, the operation is
breached, and Michael enters "mandatory refusal" -a situation where he
must break off communication with Section and complete the mission at
all costs. Unfortunately, the arms dealer kidnaps Madeline, and Operations
believes the only way to protect her is to kill Michael if necessary.
However, Nikita has other plans.
My Synopsis
"Operations goes absolutely crazy when Madeline is kidnapped." This is the episode
that got me hooked on LFN, so it remains one of my favorites. Madeline
once again proves that she is really really cool, having the ability to
stop her own heartbeat and go flatline. Both Gene and Alberta were phenomenal
actors in this episode. She had to act weak (as in tired); he had to act
scared and determined. In one scene, you can actually see him tremble!
It is simply amazing. And this once again proves Operations' love and loyalty to
Madeline, as he sentences Michael to death in order to save her. Nikita
saves the day, and Madeline reminds her that in Section "we never put
ourselves before the unprotected public." At least Ops got his woman
back! And this episode also featured the fantastic Mowen!! I loved
all the Michael scenes, too, because there were lots of guns and explosions :)
And there were some great Ops/Maddy moments in here, like the beginning
and the end! :) :) :)
Other Intel
*Originally, the Enquist-falls-for-Madeline storyline didn't exist. He
was simply a terrorist out to cause her as much pain as possible.
Favorite Operations Quote
"Compromising a mission in response to extortion goes against everything I believe in. Everything
we do here. Even if we succeed in stopping Michael, there's no guarantee we'll prevent Enquist
from taking her life."
