USA Network Synopsis
Section van is breached, and Birkoff is forced to defend himself for the very
first time. Now, his fear of being killed on future missions is interfering
with his ability to protect Section operatives, unless Nikita can help him
overcome this fear, Birkoff is in danger of being cancelled.
My Synopsis
"Birkoff gets some action: he shoots people, hits on Nikita, and gets a date." Whoo,
go Birky! I like Birkoff, he's great. This was his first major episode, and Matthew
did a fantastic job with it. You could just feel the tension! The Birkoff/Nikita
interactions were sweet, too. Here's where we meet Gail (played by Joydrop's lead
singer Tara Slone), who I liked even if she did ditch Birkoff in "Inside Out." As far
as Ops and Maddy go, he wasn't in it much, but she got some nice scenes with Nikita in
her office (I swear, they copied that from the Haunted Mansion ride at Disney World). She
does a good deal of smiling, too...very cute :) Overall, this episode comes recommended,
especially if you like Birkoff.
