USA Network Synopsis
One of the members of a criminal organization that steals classified information
to sell to the highest bidder is Operations' long-lost son, Stephen. Section One's
mission is to eradicate this group along with a dangerous terrorist that plans to
buy a smart missile chip from them, but Operations asks Nikita to keep Stephen alive
at all costs. Nikita agrees, only if Operations will let her finally leave the Section
for good. He agrees, but Nikita threatens to kill Stephen if Operations doesn't
keep his word. Unfortunately for Nikita, she is unaware of Michael's true role
in the mission.
My Synopsis
"It's another MIA nutcase as Nikita is asked to protect Operations' son." heheh,
this was cute. I think this is the first one I saw when I started watching reruns
because I liked the Morphine song. Uh, question: what exactly was Michael's true
role in the mission? Does that even have anything to do with the episode? No.
USA, you need to actually watch these shows before you write synopses. Okay,
no Maddy this time around, but there was lots of Ops. I felt bad for him; you
could just see how torn he was about not seeing his son. I understand his reasoning
though; Stephen would have been a target, a vulnerability, and Ops couldn't handle
it (see "Under the Influence" for more on this). Kinda confusing though... who is
Stephen's mother? Certainly not Corinne from "Love and Country." Corinne said
Paul was killed during the war, whereas Stephen said Paul was written off as killed.
Plus Stephen said his mother died of a broken heart, and although it sounds weird,
I'm assuming he meant she's literally dead. So it wouldn't be Corinne. Paul
must've had a woman on the side who was Stephen's mother. I don't know. LFN
was notorious for inconsistent plot lines. This was a pretty good episode
though. Nikita gets to kick some serious butt :)
Favorite Operations Quote
"You can ask for anything else, and it's yours--but not your freedom."
