USA Network Synopsis
The CIA believes that a rogue element of their agency is responsible for a recent massacre of heroin dealers, performed in order to steal money and drugs as part of an embezzlement scheme. Section One is brought in to clean the house quietly, but Nikita's continued involvement with architect Gray Wellman is hampering her ability to be a reliable operative. As Section One's operation reaches a fever pitch, Nikita is unable to balance both sides of her life, and is forced to make a choice between the organization that controls her life and the one man that she's ever loved.

My Synopsis
"Nikita tries to balance love and murder on one plate, but one thing must fall." Ohhh, the dialogue in this episode was so well written, mainly the lines delivered by secondary characters (Madeline, Operations, Walter, and a bit from Michael). That, in itself, made this a great episode. It's a sequel to "Gray," where Nikita is trying to live two lives: one outside of Section with Gray Wellman and one inside Section. It doesn't work well, and she becomes unreliable. This is really the first episode leading up to "Mercy," with her dissatisfaction with Section policy and procedure. The scene in the hotel where she has to shoot the man comes directly from the French film "Nikita," which, aside from the pilot episode, is the only other time the show used sequences from the movie. Moving on... You have to feel bad for Nikita in this episode. Poor girl can't get a break! Madeline had some really fantastic lines here, one of which is "You can't hide who you are from the people that you care about." Wonder if she has personal experience with this :) Also, her scene with the SOTW was hilarious (the 'tell me what I want to know, and you won't be paralyzed but--ha ha, I was only kidding, you weren't paralyzed anyway' scene, heehee). Ops had an excellent speech at the end, which is why I can't stress enough how good the dialogue was. This is the last time we see Gray, which is kinda sad. Did anyone else notice that he left something on her counter and we didn't get to see what it was? And lastly, "Death By Moonlight" makes its first audio appearance in this episode during the teaser, but I think it was much better during the pool scene in "Hand to Hand."

Other Intel
*The song playing during the teaser, when Operations goes to Madeline's office, is "Death By Moonlight" by Rhea's Obsession.

Favorite Operations Quote
"If you think we just played an impersonal game of global espionage, the fact is what we do here is try to ensure the safety of every man, woman, and child in this so-called civilized world. There is such a thing as evil. It exists. It's an insidious force that trickles down to innocent people. And when we fight that force, we help save those innocent people."
