USA Network Synopsis
Section captures the leader of a powerful terrorist organization - a
sophisticated computer capable of independent thought. Whenever Section
downgrades security in different areas of the world, a terrorist organization
makes a successful strike in that area within hours. Concerned that the
strikes may be the work of an insider, Operations orders a successful
raid to secure the leader, only to find out that "he" is nothing more
than a computer. Able to converse, the computer is interrogated by Madeline,
who believes it is only capable of pure logic, not intuitive thought.
However, when Madeline and Operations leave Section together, the computer
has other plans, and Michael is forced to lead Section in their absence.
My Synopsis
"A few free hours at their disposal, Operations and Madeline rekindle
their romance in the Tower." If you take out the scenes with Nikita (my
friend told me we should rename the series where-the-heck-is-la-femme-nikita),
this episode is GREAT! From a TR standpoint, anyway. Here, Ops invites
Madeline to the Tower ("I can't go on living in twilight; it has to be day
or night" is a fabulous line), and although she knows she shouldn't (this
is Section after all), she can't resist him (what girl could?). She wears
a really Gothic-looking dress and shawl (it reminded me of my Halloween
costume). He smiles very happily at her (several times), gives her
champagne, comments on the song playing, and then they dance. (I did want
to say that I wasn't too fond of the frame-on-frame camera crap during
their dance.) Of course, off-camera, they have sex, but we TRs aren't
lucky enough to get that kind of footage. :( But that, my friends, is what
fanfic is for! Madeline's interrogation of the computer is pretty great,
too, but I think we all know what part of this episode I love! :) :)
I also managed to cap Maddy's cute smile to Ops the morning after... ;)

Favorite Madeline Quote
"It was created for a purpose. A purpose is something like a desire. And desire
is always weakness."
