Nikita

USA Network Synopsis
Nikita, a girl living on the streets, is wrongly accused of a murder she did not commit and sentenced to life in prison. After the government arranges to fake her suicide, Nikita wakes up at Section One, a top-secret agency that aims to train her to become an anti-terrorist operative. Nikita wants to resist, but in order to stay alive, she has no choice but to comply with their plans.

My Synopsis
"Madeline teaches Nikita a thing or two about brushing her hair and wearing makeup, and she gets to go on a mission!" The pilot episode gave viewers their first glimpse of the enigma named Madeline, and Alberta proved to be as worthy of the role as Jeanne Moreau (Amande in "Nikita"). She was smooth! Despite the limited airtime (unfortunately, the show was not called "La Femme Madeline"), you did learn a little about our heroine: she's fabulous! As far as the episode goes, it ran pretty much exactly like the movie "Nikita." I'd recommend watching the movie, just so you can compare and contrast. I loved the ending of the episode. Also amusing were the scenes when Nikita could never quite get a glimpse of Operations since he was always in the shadows. That was great filming. One complaint: was Nikita's makeup (all that crappy lipstick) supposed to be good, or was Madeline smiling because she knew she looked like a slut? I don't know...

Other Intel
*This episode aired first but was filmed third.
