Brainwash

USA Network Synopsis
When Nikita is sent to investigate a bartender at a posh club who may be a terrorist contact, he responds to her questioning by leaping from the 65th floor window to his death. A search of his apartment turns up a strange helmet-like device, which Section later discovers is used for brainwashing. Unfortunately, Nikita has used the device several times in an effort to discover what it is, and now it is in control of her mind. When Nikita and other operatives are assigned to protect the Premier of China from other similarly brainwashed individuals, Section has no idea that the greatest threat to the Premier is Nikita herself.

My Synopsis
"Valley girl Nikita becomes an addict while Madeline proves once again that she is the brains behind Section." Whoo, lots of Madeline in this episode, none of it particularly interesting ;) The scenes featuring her reminded me of "Gambit," where she was just too cool for words, figuring things out that no mere mortal could ever discover. For instance, I would never be able to look at the architecture of an odd device and figure out who built it based on its design. That is practically super human! But we all know that Madeline is the queen of all. Ops, on the other hand, was practically non-existent in the episode, and when he was there, he might as well have not been. Madeline could handle it! She got to have several scenes with Birkoff and Walter, reminding me of "Last Night" (which of course aired after this episode) and early season one. It was good to see everyone working together again. I'm not sure I agree with her statement that the only thing an untrained person could complete is a suicide-assassination. Yes, it's the only thing they *might* be able to complete, but if you're not trained with a weapon, how in the world would you know how to shoot it and actually hit the target? One of the sleepers looked like a housewife (yeah, I know, that's stereotypical, but she did!), and although there are quite a few Rambo housewives, I still don't buy that your average ordinary person could complete an assassination. Suicide, maybe, but not assassination--especially with Section on the case! Which reminds me, lol, if an ordinary person could do it, how come Nikita couldn't and she's fully trained? Section needs to hire some ordinary people and not train them! Speaking of Nikita, what was with the valley girl thing? "This is so cool!" "Whatever!" I mean, come on. At least she didn't say, "Okay, like, you're totally uncool, Walter, like, chill!" And why oh why did Nikita behave like a crack addict, sniffing and shaking? Did the phasing shell simulate cocaine? *shrugs* Anyway, it wasn't too exciting of an episode, nor was it very funny, except when Birkoff starts babbling to Madeline about his findings and she interrupts with, "Birkoff, it's four in the morning. What did you find?" heehee, that's my girl.
