Here are some pictures from "Spanking the Monkey." Alberta had a major role in this film, playing the depressed, bedridden mother of the main character. She has a pretty crappy life, and subtleties indicate that she unsuccessfully tried to commit suicide, which is how she got in her cast. Everytime I watch it, I pick up on a little bit more. This is actually the first movie with Alberta that I watched (not counting "Hackers," because when I saw it, I didn't know who she was). I saw it on Bravo; it was edited for television. They didn't really edit out a lot because the movies doesn't really have anything dirty in it. Regardless of the subject matter (incest, adultery, masturbation, sex, suicide), it is a great film. Most people won't watch it because of the incest issue, but it is handled very maturely and subtly. The movie is funny, too, but the action is all psychological, so it moves slowly. Alberta is, of course, fabulous in the film, and you should see it at least to see her :)
The pictures may look somewhat fuzzy in the thumbnails, but the originals are much clearer. A few of them are dark due to the lighting in the film.
