Here are some images from "The Soldier," taken from a VHS version of the movie. Okay, this movie was just bizarre. It made very little sense to me. Alberta played Susan Goodman (which I got from the cast list; I only heard her referred to as Susan once), and I think she was supposed to be German or Israeli and the head of some secret somethingorother. heheh. This film is comparable to a James Bond movie without James Bond (but with a guy who wishes he was a cool as Bond). It's about these Russian spies pretending to be terrorists that steal a plutonium rocket and hold half of the world's oil supply hostage. They'll release the weapon if the Israelis don't withdraw from the West Bank. (It's a Cold War movie.) Enter the Soldier, a secret CIA guy with an army of five. He hooks up with Susan and the seven of them try to stop the Russians. It has some pretty nifty stunts à la Bond, but it makes you say "Where the heck did that come from?" more times than any 007 movies. For instance, apparently Susan thinks the world is going to blow up or be destroyed or something, so she deems it necessary to sleep with the Soldier. *shrugs* It's got some pretty graphic violence, too, and it seems to progress to the climax before you know how the characters got there. And if that's not bad enough, the music is composed and performed by an 80s synth band called Tangerine Dream. hee hee. It's not a terrible movie (it has its entertaining moments, and it has Alberta), but I'd recommend a Bond film over this any day.
The pictures may look somewhat fuzzy in the thumbnails, but the originals are much clearer. A few of them are dark due to the lighting in the film.
