In Praise of Older Women Gallery

It took me forever to get a copy of this film, but here we go. "In Praise of Older Women" is about a young Hungarian man with a sexual obsession with women over thirty. Alberta plays Mitzi, a nightclub singer in two scenes who leads him on but won't sleep with him. (Which is fine since he gets plenty of action as it is--I think I counted nine attempts with six successes.) It had its moments, but overall it doesn't get very high reviews. Alberta was great in it though; she actually sings. With an accent. They played her song during the credits, too. She's pretty good. She's only in two scenes (if I hadn't known ahead of time that she sings, I'm not sure I would've recognized her right away), but if you manage to find a copy, definitely check out the singing.

Also of note: Alberta was nominated for a Genie Award for Best Supporting Actress. And upon further study, she's the only woman on the cover of the box, back and front! :)

The pictures may look somewhat fuzzy in the thumbnails, but the originals are much clearer. A few of them are dark due to the lighting in the film.
