"Hedwig and the Angry Inch," a musical tale of a frustrated rock star with an angry inch. :) Alberta plays Hansel's mom (her name was Hedwig, hence the name that Hansel adopts when he has a sex change). She speaks German! Her accent is very good, too. And the wig is hilarious! She's almost unrecognizable. I saw this movie when it came to one of the theaters in town (which is the most amazing thing). I dragged my sister along, and she complained the whole way there. But after the first musical number, she proclaimed, "This is great!" Now she knows half the songs by heart, heehee. It's not for all tastes, but the music and costumes are great. It has one of those trademark bizarre endings that you never fully understand, but it has lots of symbolism that you can follow. Definitely worth a rental if you're interested in something off the main path. I liked it. Alberta's not in it much, but she's still amusing. Don't miss the song "Wig in a Box" or "The Origin of Love," which is probably the most unique song I've heard in a long time.
The pictures may look somewhat fuzzy in the thumbnails, but the originals are much clearer. A few of them are dark due to the lighting in the film.
