*ding ding ding* I believe I have discovered my favorite Alberta movie with this little gem. "Destiny to Order" is probably the funniest film I've seen in a long time. In it, Alberta plays several characters: Thalia, the rock star; Marla, the supermodel; and Nicole, the exotic dancer. The premise of the film is a bit wacky. JD, a novelist, is having trouble making his books more realistic. Of course, lightning zaps his computer, turning his manuscript into reality. Thalia comes to life, as does her evil boyfriend Kenrick (played by the fabulous Michael Ironside, who was also in "Murder in Space"). JD tries to free Thalia from the obsessive Kenrick, but Kenrick has other plans: he steals JD's novel and starts to rewrite it, his style. JD gets sucked into the storyline and can't seem to figure out where fantasy ends and reality begins. Alberta is amazing in this film, as she does have three different characters. My favorite was Nicole; she was hilarious. The movie was released in 1990, so it still has some 80s remnants in it, like big hair and rock music. However, Thalia's rock song is completely addictive (note, though, that Alberta doesn't actually sing it; she was dubbed over, but the girl can sing). Other LFN guest stars were in this movie: Harant Alianak (Salla Vacek from Michael's family arc), Denis Forest (Rene Dian from "Half Life"), and Ingrid Veninger (Siobhan from "Simone" and "I Remember Paris"). If you're looking for something entertaining and fun, definitely pick up this film. And if you can't rent it, just buy it. Trust me, it's worth whatever you pay. :) And I went a little overboard in the screen cap process, so there are two pages of pictures this time around. :)
The pictures may look somewhat fuzzy in the thumbnails, but the originals are much clearer. A few of them are dark due to the lighting in the film.
