"Deeply" is the most recent Alberta movie I've seen, and she's still worthy of my jealousy for her age-defying beauty. She's worthy of a lot more--you know how movies put the main stars first and, if there is a respectable actor or actress, he/she comes at the end of the credits following a "with" or "and?" Alberta got a "with," along with Lynn Redgrave (talk about fame!). You go, girl! Anyway, on to the actual film. It's the story of a troubled teenager who was recently involved in a very serious accident, of which we don't know the full story until the end. Alberta plays her concerned mother, Fiona (odd name choice, but okay). The teen (Claire) goes to visit this old woman who lives in a blue house, an aspiring novelist who tells Claire a true love story. I'm not quite sure what to make of the ending: I thought I had it figured out, but it wasn't fully explained. So the movie is told in the present, with Claire and Fiona, and then in the past, with Silly (yes, that's Kirsten Dunst's character's name, which is very silly) and James and the rest of the lot. Part of it reminded me of "Titanic." I was teary-eyed for the last half-hour or so. (And I did not cry during "Titanic.") Alberta cries again, but only briefly, and there is real pain in this film. I recommend it, if you can find it; it's a nice story. Odd, a bit strange at times, but nice. I wish they'd explain the ending though. That's my big peeve about it.
